The U.S. Capital Christmas Tree is lit at a special ceremony every year in early December. But before that can happen, the tree makes a cross-country trek, spreading Christmas cheer along the way. This year the tree will also be spreading awareness about sharing the road with large trucks.
This year the tree’s journey started in New Mexico on November 11th. The 60-foot Blue Spruce will make more than 25 stops for events along the way. The U.S. Department of Transportation is sponsoring the journey this year.
At each stop, representatives from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration will be helping to raise awareness about road safety around large commercial vehicles.
“As this very special Christmas tree travels across America to the U. S. Capitol, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration will partner with communities to emphasize safety, especially safely driving around trucks and buses during the holiday season,” said U.S. Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao.
The tour will end on November 24th in Maryland. From there it will be delivered to the Capital in late November before the tree lighting ceremony in December.

This is fake, they don’t have to go by the rules. All fun for them. Drivers go through the horror 😫 everyday with four wheelers and the know it all government. Just look how they are just screwing up everything they put their hands on. Constitution means nothing to them because they did nothing to get it established. SAD
