One of the largest truck stop chains in the country, Love’s Travel Stops, will require all customers to wear face covers at all times. The move is intended to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
A press release issued by Love’s on July 21st announced that they will “require customers to wear face coverings at every Love’s Travel Stop, Love’s Country Store, Love’s Truck Care, Love’s-owned hotel and Speedco location across the country.”
Love’s joins with retailers across the country including Walmart, Target, CVS, Walgreens, and many more in requiring masks inside their stores. This comes as data from both the international community and the US CDC suggest that wearing a mask can significantly decrease transmission rates. With a tweet this past week, even President Trump became an advocate for mask wearing.
“We are joining other retailers by implementing a face covering policy for customers, and will continue to follow the guidance of health officials and adjust our practices to help keep our customers and team members safe,” said Shane Wharton, president of Love’s, according to the press release. “We want to thank our customers who continue to adapt to these protective measures implemented at Love’s.”
The requirement will be put in place starting on Wednesday, July 29th. It will apply to every one of their more than 520 locations in the U.S.

Thank you Love’s, Target, Menards, Walmart, etc. for making a stand and being willing to deal with these “my constitutional right allows me to…” people who don’t have enough sense to take THREE SECONDS out of their day to put on a mask and help get this country back on its feet.

I asked my doctor about it, while he was not wearing a mask. He said it won’t make any difference. When I go somewhere that “requires” a mask, I drag out a surplus Czek Army gas mask I bought years ago. I drew a Confederate Army of Virginia flag on the side of it to really tweak people. Amazing how good it works!!

Holy Crap. Dragging the POTUS into this ??? Really. Do Drs operate on you without mask ? Do food prep people wear mask ? Put the mask on for 5 mins, get back in yer truck and truck on knowing you did the right thing by not necessarily agreeing but taking the contrary action. Do you have so much pride you can’t be seen in a mask ? What will it hurt ? Your pride ?
If your Mom or Clergy or Doctor or Grandmother or Spouse asked you to wear it, just momentarily, would you tell them no ? Get over it. It’s not your right to walk into any business and break their rules. And even if it was, what’s the harm ? Why, tell me one reason not to wear one for a few minutes at the request of the business you are patronizing ? Are you making it that big of a deal ? Ever heard of all for one and one for all ? After this whole circus started i realized i will never shop at lives again. 3 dollars for drinks, no food, no showers, rude staff. Im good i will never spend money at any of these places again. Thats capatalism. Your money is your vote
