All too often, truckers find themselves in the situation where they need to act on their unofficial role as the knights of the open road; stepping in to help a stranger in need. But sometimes, that relationship comes back around and it’s the other motorists who band together to help out a trucker. And that’s just what happened when a group of strangers formed a human chain to help rescue a driver who was trapped inside his truck which was teetering on the edge of an embankment.
It was in Pennsylvania during the storm that dropped over two feet of snow in parts of the country. A truck on the Pennsylvania Turnpike had lost control and taken out a huge swath of the guardrail before coming to a precarious stop teetering halfway down a steep embankment.
The driver was still inside the cab which had started to smoke. There was broken glass, leaking fuel, and debris surrounding the truck, but bystanders leapt to action anyway. A group of them started linking arms, forming a human chain which would allow them to reach the driver and pull him out.
Within minutes of the accident, the rescuers had the driver safely out of the truck and walking around.
A fellow trucker who saw the rescue, but arrived too late to participate snapped a photo.
“To me, it just looked like this spontaneous, instinctive thing, that everyone just started hooking their arms together,” the driver said. “It was absolutely amazing.”

To often we take life for granted andit takes the strength and courage of others to show the world what you can do
Amazing how God works when it’s not your time to go,,God bless them all. Outstanding
Amazing how people attribute the deeds of good people to god, instead of giving those involved the credit.
Disgusting how some people get their panties in a wad when “God” is mentioned.
Thank god there’s still good people in this world.god bless all the good people.
A climbing rope is good to carry and hammer or window breaker
It’s amazing the amount of love we can show for our fellow man when need be. All the hate and discontent disappears if only briefly..!!
That’s a great photo…
…And nice to see a bunch of motorists locking arms to help a driver out of a dangerous situation.
