Another batch of three former employees of Pilot Flying J have plead guilty to charges against them related to the alleged fuel rebate scam which spurred an FBI raid of the headquarters last year. Among them is Brian Mosher, regional sales director for PFJ who admitted to training members of the sales staff how to go about defrauding companies using the scheme. Mosher faces a fine of up to a quarter of a million dollars and up to 20 years in prison with 3 years of supervised release.
Along with Mosher, Christopher Andrews, another regional sales manager, and Lexie Holden, a regional account representative, both of whom have pled guilty to one count of conspiracy which will net them a maximum of 5 years in prison with 3 years of supervised release.
This brings the total number of PFJ executives who have pled guilty to serious charges 13.
Though no charges have been brought yet against those at the very top of the company including CEO Jimmy Haslam, there has been speculation that offering plea bargains to lower-ranking executives and managers means that federal investigators have a much loftier target in mind.

It will be interesting to see what happens when all is said and done. Personally, I feel that the heads of a company shoulder the responsibility for what the company does. How is it possible that the top guys were unaware of such a major scam on such a major deal?
