Enjoy your holiday treats now, because come the new year, the annual TCA weight loss competition is starting up again! The Truckload Carriers Association is once again running the Long-Haul Weight Loss Showdown; a 10 month program that turns losing weight, exercise, and healthy eating into a competition complete with a cash prize.
This will be the third year for the weight loss competition which provides personalized support, one-on-one coaching, and $2,500 cash prize for the most improved participant. This year, in order to encourage on-going healthy habits, the program is being extended from 10 weeks to 10 months, though their motto still brags that “you too can lose 10% in 10 weeks.”
The competition is not only for individual drivers, but also for carriers. A carrier can enter teams of 6-9 drivers and 3-6 staff members who will all be taking part in the program.
To learn more about the program or to enter yourself or your company, you can check out the Long-Haul Weight Loss Showdown website here.

Great idea. I’ll sign up just as soon as I figure out how.
Just sounds like a way for them to sell their $650.00 weight loss program to me….
I only see the application for company teams. How does an individual go about applying?
I will lose weight by following my personal trainer to the spa. We all know there is a workout center at every rest stop. Lol
