Which one and why? And why Thermo King whispers are priced lower? Do you get more problems with these. I’m going to haul frozen meet.
Thermo King SB 330 or S -600 or S-700?

S600 and s700 are both electronic I injection and are good for California emissions for life. However that means dealing with a much more complex fuel system. The 330 is older high capacity unit that is not carb compliant now if you re worried about.I would say they are the best reefer ever made despite the head gasket issue with the engines.i would recommend getting any unit checked over before you buy though. Good luckRubyEagle, PE_T, Blackhorse77 and 2 others Thank this.

We are not getting nowhere close to California, so I will stay with the 330 unit. My husband and I are no mechanics. We did only the pretrip test on the unit and set it to -10. It worked nicely.
The whole trailer was nice, except for the body outside on the Thermo Unit that was cracked and bent in places. It must have hit a tree or something. -
If it passed the pre trip and will reach -10f then is should be ok.Maybe do an oil change and check belts.if they have deep cracks in them then change them.keep an eye on the coolant bottle if it starts turning black then it will eventually need a head gasket.
JohnH7580, RubyEagle and Blackhorse77 Thank this. -

what is the difference between 230 - 330
-
330 is high capacity unit more freon and faster engine rpms better for frozen loads in hot climates 230 is also fine for freezer loads but not as good in really hot temperatures like ArizonaRubyEagle, trucking4life88 and Blackhorse77 Thank this.

Why on the SB 330 units it says Glenn 3? Is the unit weaker? What kind of unit is Glenn 3?It has close to 15,000 hours. But it costs less.
