March 1st I-80 pileup video in progress

Apparently there were two sseparate crash sites, one at MM 181 and one at MM 184. Over 100 vehicles involved. Long cleanup in progress now, they don't anticipate re-opening the road earlier than noon tomorrow.

 

What a mess. 140 vehicles involved

 

I'm not gambling with my cdl.
Truck tells me the temperature.
If it's raining and it's 32 degrees,I'm shutting down.
Went from 38 to 32 in about 5 minutes coming through Nebraska last night..not one truck out treating the roads.
140 drivers with an accident on their records now going to swift trucking..good luck with that..

 

I don’t run west much but that’s crazy! Coming back from Vegas on I-40 in New Mexico about the 230mm it started snowing I was surprised at the speed of some of the drivers going flying past me...

 

I mean how hard is it to figure out, late night, cold, gonna have ice. Grab your 10, or 8, start out in the AM when the sun has thawed it.

Yep 1st thing I noticed told my buddy look at how fast they were going

Guy videoed the road. It was like 2" of solid ice. I was amazed his buddy was able to keep upright with those flip flops on, he was at least wearing socks though.
