Huge pain in the neck when that happens. Almost got written up for declining a load that required us to board our pet. But in all the time we were at CFI that was the one and only place that ever had an issue with her. And a place in Dallas, but tbh it paid off to have a pet they won't let you in the facility, so they have a yard dog come and bring you your loaded trailer and they take your empty.RoadRooster and Kidd05 Thank this.

Ultratowel,
How have you been? I haven't seen you here lately and was wondering how you were doing. I hope everything is OK with you as I always enjoy reading your posts.RoadRooster Thanks this. -
I have a general question for all CFI drivers. I am a retired 45 year driver who now enjoys full time Rving with my bride of 40 years and I am now spending the winter months in Winter Haven, Fl. and I have noticed a CFI semi parked in a secured lot off Route 17 near Harborside restaurant. I would like to make contact just to say hello and talk to him or her about trucking in general just because I do miss the profession and have a great respect and fondness for CFI. Thanks for any help.

I dunno aboot that. Need to make time to get my passport before I try to hop fences.
In other news I am sitting near Topeka, KS waiting for my next marching orders on what little hours I got left and crappy recaps.RoadRooster Thanks this. -

Doing good. Just a little annoyed lately with the bad miles... Averaged about 7500 for January and 7500 for february. It hasn't been the best lately and i i vent been able to get out west since December. Aside from that I'm good. Still love cfi. But when i get my 30 months experience im going to try and pay at walmart and hole i get selected. Will always love cfi. And i actually genuinely don't wanna leave. But i feel like i'm genuinely guaranteed a good retirement if i can get with walmart this early on in my career only being 27.Vic Firth, RoadRooster, Cerberus XVI and 2 others Thank this.

Thanks for your reply. Glad you're doing ok. The low miles can be very frustrating and hurt the bottom line for sure
I always have felt that Walmart was the best place to drive for with all the benefits and pay package available. My only concern is the huge amount of outside carriers pulling Walmart loads that they could pull the plug on company drivers at anytime they feel the costs are too much.
Good luck in whatever you do.RoadRooster and Cerberus XVI Thank this. -
I still feel that way about CFI, amazing company. Even today I have a hard time separating myself from it. We were talking about CFI this morning and I still refer to it as "we" as if I'm still there haha.RoadRooster Thanks this.

Brintle flying j tonight. I saw dogwoods blooming and squashed a bug on my windshield. Winter may not be over, but it's running out of gas.
Vic Firth, Kidd05 and Cerberus XVI Thank this.
