Move to any rural area and there are plenty of rural type jobs...…….BUT......there is
always a but. Rural jobs don't usually pay as good. If you can find a place to live in a
small town that is a little cheaper that might be alright.
I moved to the city because city jobs pay better...………….but I am finding that housing
costs more, crime is worse, taxes are higher, insurance is higher. Wish I had stayed in small
town where I came from. Problem with going back now I would be taking a pay cut.
Guess each person has to decide what kind of life you prefer to live.Studebaker Hawk and bentstrider83 Thank this. -

AND you get to drive a truck that has no speed restrictor, will usually do 90 mph, and the boss don't care what your mileage is. Big pipes and a bigger jake. 18 speed. Lots of chrome around, and always a clean truck after your load.
Get stopped by DOT, and they always turn you loose to hit the road. If not, they then assume the responsibility and the feed bill for the cattle you're hauling. Boss usually pays any overweights.
Any problems anywhere, you'll have 2 or 3 hotshots (cattle prods) raring to go in your box.
Hourly pay isn't great usually, but the right outfit will get you a ton of hours, and exempt from HOS rules.snowman1980, x1Heavy, 650cat425 and 2 others Thank this.
