I could have saved about 5 hrs last week picking up in Florida then. That will help out a lot in the future. Thanks for the input.

It helps a lot, especially when the pick up is some out of the way place that's hours from an interstate. I've used it a number of times and even had an inspection during one and it wasn't questioned.

I run the Ag. Exemption alot... I haul frsh-pack and bulk potatoes and some onions. I use it EVERY TIME that I load my own load with either of those products, buy do mot use it when picking up a preloaded trailer. I have never been questioned about it.
As soon as I enter that 150 miles radius I change to PC and annotate it as "At. Exempt 395.1 (k)". Usually I'm just coming back from a 34 reset, and my yard is inside that radius, so I dont even start my clock until I leave that radius. Most of the time I will stop about 50 miles before I leave the radius for a 6 hour nap (logged as sleeper so it shows that I stopped) then continue in PC until I leave that radius.
Here is a link to FMCSA website with some very helpful diagrams on the subject. Many of the places I load at have these diagrams posted in the shipping office or near the docks.
