Armed military and or police stationed

I hurt somebody's feelings once.

 

Yes national guard has been activated. An they've moved a naval medical ship(floating Hospital) to NYC also. An they've only been activated in certain states.

I've learned this from this Corona thing...people are their own worse enemies. Will sit an panic an over think #### to the point they jump from every shadow, cough, fart, or hiccup.

You want to protect yourself, do so. Nobody said you have to announce it to the world, your company or anyone else. What's that saying... It's easier to ask forgiveness than it is to get permission. Not to mention all kinds of things out there for personal defense that isn't a gun. Bear spray, wasp spray, stun guns, knives, bats, etc etc etc etc.

I'd rather look for a new job. Can't get a new life. An if they don't understand that in today's world...eff'em.

Be safe, don't let the looters get ya!

Did you read it carefully? The National Guard are still going to be under the command of the state, but paid for by the federal government. This avoids the posse comitatus act.

NG is being called out to help and possibly enforce stay at home orders. Doesn’t make a difference who pays for it.

 

In the FAQ on the Indiana State website that very question was asked. Here is the answer:
Will the Indiana National Guard enforce this order?

No. The Indiana National Guard is aiding in planning, preparation and logistics with other state agencies. For example, the Indiana National Guard assists in distributing hospital supplies the state receives.

 

I met a driver who was wearing a Navy hat. I asked him if he served and what his rate (job) was. He said he was artillery on a plane and some number and a SGT. I looked at my husband and smiled. Artillery is Army (husband is former) Ordinances is Navy. AO is the rate. (I retired out of the Navy) I told him I was an AMS (avaition mechanic structures) he had no clue what I was talking about.

He then proceeded to tell us how great being a 1099 driver was. I just smiled and walked away.
