you can get miles but this corona stuff is messing with their system. For example two weeks ago in a 7 day period i only got 1400 miles, 3 days holdover and 14 hours regular pay. thats $1287 gross for a 1400 mile week. Normally I get miles but if they want to pay 1287 gross for a bs week then ill take it.LtlAnonymous and 48Packard Thank this.

Sounds like my gig. As long as I’m available, I get $1400 whether I step foot into my truck or not. Admittedly, that rarely happens, but it’s a nice card to have in my pocket when needed.
LtlAnonymous Thanks this. -
Did they have you run local loads to get those 14 hours?

That's my bring home after taxes for the last 6 weeks.
I don't know what you need to live off of,
But that gives you an idea of what you can get.
I'm still out here running.
We all get paid the same thing.
1 more week till the truck goes into the shop
For the pm.
I'm probably gonna hop in a loaner and keep going
For more.
Who knows what's gonna happen to any of these
Trucking companies.
Trying to get every penny I can.
As the previous guy said, everything is wacky
Right now with this covid 19.
But no trucking company is guaranteeing anything
Right now.
So get your truck loaded up,and wait for the phone
To ring like the rest of us.LtlAnonymous, 28 and 48Packard Thank this. -
road test for a new hire and some work in the yard, but they do have shuttle runs also most of the time.Last edited: Apr 13, 2020

I could live with that. Your last week is what I've been averaging after tax with my starter co.

4-20 1510
4-3 2715
3-27 0
3-20 0
3-23. 2050
3-06 500
I didn't take any time off during this period and even though I missed two paychecks I'm still 2000 ahead of last years $78k pace. So maybe I will make over 80.LtlAnonymous, 28 and Western flyer Thank this. -
I try to get paid every week.
Even if it's only one trip.
Sometimes you just can't make it back to a terminal
In time to turn the paperwork in.
I could do one trip a week here and survive this
Virus thing.
This is like stealing money here.
I've done the same job for a whole lot less money.silverspur and LtlAnonymous Thank this. -
I’m already at 2000 as of 3 weeks ago
and about to pass that number
Just ran from CP down to to WPB ( after
sitting 4 days ) ... noticed a Poly truck at the loves when I pulled in ... he told me just as I was heading out to my WPB drop on Monday he had been sitting there over 5 days .
Part of the CP delay was my own choice
I for the second time ever declined a load. (which cost me any Holdover I could have received)
Dispatch has a lot of loads that deliver
at 2200 and 2300 to Lakeland and late
nighters to WPB but unfortunately I’m not
up to delivering that late . Same with Villa Rica ... late night with no place to find safe shelter )
The one time I did do the late night Fla adventure ( me and 3 other guys ) we all ended up running 3 or more hours back towards Ga in order to locate a parking spot.
Fatigue is no ones friend
Florida is not parking friendly once evening and night time arrives.
... that’s all I have to report for now
PS: not complaining.. ... just hanging out and banking the bucksLast edited: Apr 14, 2020
silverspur, Harry Flashman, LtlAnonymous and 1 other person Thank this.
