I think a hair dresser would be a good profession for your future once the covid stuff is cleared out. As spiritual you are about hair that should go over well with the ladies.

Some religions prohibit or discourage the cutting of hair. I think Sikh is one, I don't know about others.

I happen to love my dispatch team. They are funny, compassionate, and care a lot about us. The company is awesome, and has a strong safety culture.
I could go on gushing for hours about how great I think my company is, but it's mostly a team operation. There are solo runs, but I'm not sure how that all works as far as pay and miles per week. I do know that as a team with hazmat, we make min pay and bonuses over your suggestion.

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.

Ok. They don't cut your hair but pull it out of your scalp. Is that belief Indian? Just wondering.

Ok, now I do recall that about the Sikh. No haircuts or beard trims ever, plus a small dagger around the neck.

Agreed. I’ve been with my current company for just over a year and a half, and I’m still the new guy. It’s a small team, only 12 drivers, and our management and dispatch are awesome.
These companies do exist, they’re just hard to find and they don’t advertise because they don’t need to, and the turnover is almost nonexistent.

Exactly right. Our drivers usually hang in until they retire. Most of them have been here for over twenty years and some of them are past the thirty year mark.
We haven't had to advertise for drivers in over thirty years.
It's a two way street...one of the reasons we're successful is because of good drivers. We pay them well, give good benefits, treat them like human beings, and give them decent safe equipment to drive. They return that by doing keeping the trucks on the road, doing what the customer wants..
    Everybody comes out ahead.
