Covenant shuts down SRT’s Texarkana terminal and

So by what I am understanding they will continue to operate as SRT and just run out of the Chattanooga terminal? I see they will keep the solo operating fleet, which I know Covenant only runs teams I think. This is so strange to me in a way. It seems like the COVID 19 is being used as the reasons for a lot of companies troubles which I guess is understandable.

 

They have probably been wanting to do that for a while now. Chattanooga will be a friendly business place rather than Arkansas at the moment. Ive got family there in TN and frankly they are on the boom time right now.

Tql has a very good business model. Fire older people and hire new hungry ones. When new ones lose their enthusiastic steam, rinse and repeat

Also seems part of the TQL business model is to try & drive the OO out of business with consistent garbage rates. I haven't pulled a load offered by them since hurricane Irma tore up the Keys in 2017.. Last time I was able to get a livable wage out of those pukes..

I do understand this completely hopefully they get this economy opened back up in a timely manner and everything kind of gets back to somewhat regular.
