Why that? Because I'm grown up been doing this for close to 40 years and 4 hours is nothing. Had loads cancel, have loads refuse, had to take stuff back because they loaded the wrong product, sat four days to get unloaded. Sorry four hour is nothing in trucking. See I'm grown up you deal with it and move on. Do you think you're never going to wait to load or unload because this is trucking and I understand it very well.

 

You are a good employee to have, work for free and not complain about it.

 

You only think you are grown up, grown ups don't work for free, unless you get a shiny truck to drive.

 

Did you guys Google Allied tube in Harvey before booking the load? You actually got loaded quick for that place. Definitely one of the worst flatbed shippers in the country... My one and only time was like 13 hours to get loaded. Just about every tube place in the Chicagoland area is terrible. Out of 280 reviews 95% of them are horrible.

 

Just so you know, after a couple bad experiences this week I was told by customer service that they were actually starting to look into the bad brokers. I don't know if anything will actually come out of it but there's at least hope complaints are finally not falling on deaf ears. Lots of double brokering and they can't steal from us without stealing from landstar, so fingers crossed.

 

I used to sit for free when I was at Landstar or loads cancelled and LS would not pay TON. Because the shipper refused to pay or some BS reason they could make up. Now I get paid $20 per detention pay after 2 hours. I get paid $100 for 34 hour restarts at truck stop. I'm driving a company truck. Hopefully your making money at LS. I never made much money at LS.

 

Most drivers are not business people , that is why they are driving a truck.
Everyone is screwing me is what I hear from so many drivers , I never hear this from the company owners that hire and work with the drivers.
