I think I got too used to being at home. Picking up a load this morning. Gonna try and stay out till the next blitz in August

No, but I didnt take 2 months off either. I've been working like normal, through everything. I cant stand to be off more than a week, two at the absolute most. I die of boredomRollr4872, 77fib77, Sirscrapntruckalot and 12 others Thank this.

Laziness and boredom gets me after 2 weeks. I’ll almost haul sailboat fuel for charity after that long.
Then, 3 days out and I wanna go home.77fib77, Sirscrapntruckalot, farmerjohn64 and 14 others Thank this. -
Why are you scared of the blitz?

It’s a little bit laziness and a little depression too. But this has actually been a calming time for me. For once my since of urgency doesn’t have to kill me to get things done. Stress level is down I can sit around on the clock and do nothing because there is nothing anybody can do about it all in the name of covid. We gotta be here and open for the people eventhough hardly anything is coming in or out of this warehouse. First time in my life were I actually don’t have “lists” of things to do and can sit back and relax. That has always been depressing to me but I’m working on it. Lol!
I think the biggest reason why it’s hard to get motivated to go out on the road or out in general is the whole mask thing and the way people act about the distance and cootie thing. The ignorant policies that make everyone suspicious of everyone else. People seem to resent the fact that you are trying to occupy their so called space more then ever. The mentally ill people now running around making things worse by being social nannies and tattle tales and mask nazi’s. Everything is about race. And the biggest one we talk about around here is having to carry.Sirscrapntruckalot, farmerjohn64, TallJoe and 12 others Thank this. -
I kind of agree and I’m against wearing a face covering, I will half ### put it on out of respect for people working in certain places, because just as I am they are just trying to make a living also. I’ve been to the biggest ####holes in this country in the last week and half, and thankfully had no runs ins with extremely rude people or any issues. I interacted with every race and ethnicity, and was treated with respect and gave it back (as usual) besides the mask wearing fear for there life people things finally felt a little normal. I had my 4 year old daughter with me the whole week last week, I refuse to make her wear a mask. Besides a worker at Disney store at a mall we killed a few hours at trying to get her to wear a mask to come in we really had no issues. I’d say about 90% of the country does not want to wear a mask. Most are doing it to possibly keep there employment during these un certain times. All in all dispite what the hate spreading fear mongering media shows there is hope for this country, if we all respect each other and be kind. (Which I know is hard at times dealing with certain people) just my 2 cents don’t mean much just figures I’d share my real life experience.TallJoe, Midwest Trucker, AModelCat and 7 others Thank this.

Amen. Trucking isn’t what it use be. Sold my truck last year got a pretty good company gig felt like a 1200 pound boulder fell off my back. Home every day decent pay check good health insurance, when the truck doesn’t want to cooperate just dial 1 800. Don’t miss the stress not one bit, blood pressure way down. Things aren’t peachy all the time but life is much more enjoyable. Just my opinionMontanaland, D.Tibbitt, Rideandrepair and 4 others Thank this.

No, OP, I have stayed out all but eight days since this entire virus crap broke out. I’ve actually preferred to stay out as when I go home there’s absolutely nothing to do. Can’t go anywhere, can’t hang out with anyone, nobody wants to do anything and everything is close. I might as will be on the road making money. That said, I find it after my home time the first few days back out are always the hardest because you’re out of rhythm. You’re lazy relaxed mode is still turned on and it takes a few days to kind of get going again. At least for me.
TallJoe, Rideandrepair, rachi and 2 others Thank this.
