What do these guys pay for local loads?

After waiting 4 days to make a delivery because the load was late getting loaded, they are forcing me to do a local load (50 miles) after I roll back to the yard tomorrow

They told me I need to contact one of the driver managers to get “local pay”

Then I have to wait an additional 2 days to get another outbound load.

So my productivity for the week will be a few miles rolling back to the yard plus this local load.....

 

Dude how can they force you to do anything? I just dont get that comment at all. Shuttle runs like that usually pay 10 hours. The trip if ready is usually in front of Carla's desk and when you're done thats where you turn it in. Get with Betty or Octavius if you need more help.

 

Ok it wasn’t totally forced, but my getting a real outbound load was contingent on accepting the local load. It was a “double dispatch” situation.

In the end it doesn’t matter since the load was canceled.
