    Strike one is it's CRST.
Strike two is it's a lease purchase.

I mean if you want to loose thousands can can always just send me a check for that. it will end up being less painful for you in the end. :)

ALL, and I do mean ALL, lease purchase programs work in favor of the lessor (them) and not the lessee (you).

The trick is in the amount of miles you are dispatched to drive. If CRST decides to cut your miles, then you cannot afford to pay the lease and you go bust.

And this is exactly what goes on at CR England. I'll bet Crusty just had their own angle on how to screw you over.

Drive company first, then consider purchasing your own tractor. But with a bank loan.

I'm familiar with their previous lessee operator deal....$853/wk

The main issue is that you have to agree to only haul for CRST - no load boards or freight brokers for you! Not enough freight? Camper Load? Breakdown? Welcome to the wonderful world of negative paychecks! Not only will you not be paid for the week, you'll owe CRST for whatever part of your payment your earnings didn't cover! CRST will generously add unpaid amounts to your account and deduct your balance due from future checks. You could end up working for FREE for several weeks at a time!

You won't be getting a NEW truck either. You get your choice of the trucks CRST has already retired from use by their company drivers (~500,000/mi). Why does CRST retire trucks at 500k/mi? Because new ones are more reliable and cheaper to maintain. So you're getting your choice of the trucks they won't drive.

Lease purchase program, pink push, cabin boy, up the old dirt road, prison shower - whatever they're calling it you should run far, and run fast in the opposite direction. Four of the five drivers I knew on CRST's Lessee Operator deal quit owing CRST money. The last one said he was buying a house and a car when he started on the program, lost the house, lost the car, but kept the truck!
