Funny thing..this is the point eastbound that it started to get slick and there were 2 other Swift rigs off the road just past this driver, amongst others

 

The company has a mandate that they maintain a maintenance & reserve account for all drivers. It's like ask Mom & Dad to hold onto your allowance & then having to ask for it when you want to spend it. The 3 bank accounts we maintain is to have that money available to use when we need it & not have to wait 48hrs for Driver Services to transfer the money, then another min. of 48hrs for it to hit the bank.

And honestly, when things are going really good - I have a tendency to forget all about the Reserve Account that the company maintains ..... Once in a while it's nice to see a "large" number in front of 3 zeros that I forgot was adding up....Or use it to pay for that year's "Uncle Sam donation".

Every check gets divided as equally as possible into all 3 bank accounts (it's hard to split a penny, ya know)

 

Funny place to park, but I've seen worse/better ones?

 

I can manage my own money, I don’t need to ask a company, and won’t let one hold my money, if they go out of business, how do you get your money, or is it just lost?
