Staying connected is about having OPTIONS. NO single option is going to work 100% of the time so make sure you have other options holstered that you can use as needed. All the major truck stop chains offer wifi (for a fee) that will usually reach your truck if it’s parked at a truck stop. Best to worst -> T/A, FlyingJ, Love’s

Verizon has the best coverage. The best deal I could find on the Verizon network is through Visible ($40/mo. Uncapped, unlimited, unthrottled). That said, there are places in ID and
UT where there isn’t a Verizon signal but I can get a TMO signal. I have a legacy, grandfathered TMO plan that’s older than you are that gives me unlimited data on my tablet for $25/mo. for those areas. Best to worst network coverage -> Verizon, AT&T, TMO, Channeling the dead, Dreams of your ancestors, Sprint.

Whatever service that allows you to look on facebook during heavy traffic is what I'd go with.

If Metro is with T-Mobile it isn't all bad.
I have been with T-Mobile for a dozen years, literally.
The coverage has very much improved over those years.
And with the Sprint network adding to it, it is even better now.

T-Mobile owns Metro now. YES! They have got much better over the last few years. I switched to Metro several years ago. When I travel to Virginia Beach or Norfolk I get good reception. I also get great reception when up along the Chesapeake area over to DC and down to Richmond for a lot lower than the other carriers charge. It's been 8 years since I was last OTR. I can't say one way or another how well that network is across the US.

I’ve been pretty happy with AT&T for the last 15 years.

T Mobile has always saturated large metropolitan areas. I think the merger with Sprint will help expand their coverage to a larger swath of the country.

I was with Sprint forever. They were terrible and I hated them. Only reason that I stayed so long, was the price and at the time they were the only ones that had unlimited everything. Last year I changed to Verizon, and I love it! I wished I changed years ago. They are more expensive, but have great customer service and coverage!

Take your Verizon phone over to Straight Talk with their Bring Your Own Phone (BYOP) Plan. Get a Verizon sim card and enjoy the same Verizon service for $60.00 per month. Includes 10 gigs of hotspot with the Verizon sim. Just a suggestion. I'm always looking for ways to save a buck.

Verizon is the best. You pay, but you get what you pay for.

Did you read my post about Straight Talk. Verizon towers, 60.00 per month.
