According to the article the fire reached as hot as 1500 degrees F-definitely enough to soften some metal and warp a bridge deck to some extent! Either way,I’d expect that bridge to be closed for MONTHS while repairs are carried out!

"In less than an hour, the Cincinnati Police Department took to Twitter twice to implore truck drivers to abide by the weight limits on the Roebling Suspension Bridge."
(Driving past a sign that says I'm way over the weight limit and hear a notification bell): Oh snap, thank goodness they tweeted this before I drove over this historic bridge! I might have done a bad thing!"
Wait a minute, I don't have a Twitter account. How am I supposed to know?? -
So, I guess its 475 to go around?
-
I didn't read everything pertaining to this but wondering if this truck was loaded within the Cincinnati area or was it just passing through?
I cannot recall if Cincinnati requires through hazmat trucks to use 275 or not? If they don't they will now... lol. -
You can use 75 through town but 71 has a tunnel. Then you would use 275.JonJon78 Thanks this.

Oh, well I thought it was the big bridge going over the river.....the main 2 story bridge.
So i guess the main 75/71 is ok? -
He was referring to my post about running hazmat straight through prior to this accident.
You are right it is the big bridge.
-
you can run 75/71 down to 471 to 275
