I’m going to bed. It really doesn’t matter.
What configuration is his truck? If it’s a single screw tractor with a closed tandem trailer - you’re up the creek without a paddle.
What is your loss out of the deal? Damage control?
Unload the product and get to know your ‘drivers’ a bit better. Take the lumps and go on. -
If you posted load weight or ordered a tandem axle truck send him away. Or if he didn’t ask about weight and he knows product he’s picking up send him away. BTW that’s one heavy unit for a tandem axle pulling a 40 k load.

Only way you're going to fix the problem without losing the load is to swap trucks with a tandem axle instead of a single axle.
Need the right equipment for the job and single axle isn't the right equipment.
Course, having the right equipment for the job may still end up being overweight. A tandem truck will weigh more then a single axle. -
Go around the scales or wait until they close up..JolliRoger Thanks this. -
I ended up a bit overweight today.
34,340 on the drives with the tandems all the way forward.
I could have had it reworked, and the scale on site at the customer, but I only had a couple scales to pass before I burned off enough fuel - and it is Sunday.
So I rolled with it. -
Lol DOT is watching these threads. I think this was the reason the WB Knox weigh station was open...on a Sunday...
