Is another big slowdown coming?

Was going to happen anyway after the holidays, no?

 

But there's always a pandemic, or a big change in politics, or a recession, or the impeding doom of being replaced by a robot. Just keep trucking driver. There will always be something to worry about. When none of the stuff above is bothering you your truck will break down, your girl will go ape **** or your kid will get sick.

Another slowdown is ALWAYS coming - it's a cyclical industry. Pandemic related? Not so much. People have had enough of the lockdowns. Several sheriffs in California have publicly stated that they will not enforce them.

Now, there will be shutdowns for the NEXT pandemic. China doing gain of function research on rare viruses in research facilities less secure than my garage? Check! Wet markets where people buy and eat every critter you can imagine with no health or safety inspections? Check! Direct flights from China to every major US airport with no quarantine or health screening? Check! We've learned NOTHING from this and it's only a matter of time until we go though it all again.
