The annoying thing was that he did not get arrested cause he hadn't done any damages yet. But the deputy advised the gentleman that he would be arrested for trespassing if he for some reason was on our property again.

This story does take one more weird turn. The guy's brother called up our corporate office and threatened us with a lawsuit (workman's comp for a thief?). After they got done laughing at him he lost his crap and said something along the line of causing harm to our employees and or building. So now there is an arrest warrant out for that guy's brother.

Then yesterday our sheriff posted a special message to the county webpage making people aware of catalyst converter theft in the area. I am betting this was in direct response to what happened a few days prior at my workplace.

 

When traveling at highway speeds, that rock comes at you fast enough to kill you, if not, it's at least enough for a catastrophic distraction to cause you to lose control of your tractor trailer.

When I pulled linehaul security in Iraq, we've taken down people for throwing rocks.
