So you think you would've had better luck if the owner thought he was a country singer?

 

Doubt his color has anything to do with the fact that he's a crummy owner. Then if it were me and he wasn't paying, he'd have Labor Board (depending if the help) and DOT up his hind end. I had a boss like that. He fired a driver and refused him his last check to boot. Mind you, the driver was caught smoking the good stuff and that was the reason he was let go. This man outright refused him his last check which equaled up to $3000. So after 3 warnings, he sabotaged this man's contract (Many of the drivers were snorting coke and he told it) and made sure the equipment owners knew what was happening. Then DOT was notified after which he was audited, fined and shutdown. He wouldn't have but that one time to do pull that with me.
