You seriously didnt know pickles were cucumbers???? Didn't your grandmother do home canned produce??? I cant begin to count the times ive walked into one kitchen or another in my family and was bowled over by the unmistakable smell of pickles being home canned.

And no candied pickles (what most call sweet pickles) dont count as pickles. Pickles require vinegar... Candied pickles is like making jam, but instead of using pureed fruit you use sliced cucumbers.... Yuck!

The thing about tanker yankers is kinda like being a pimp..

I used to tell people that and they thought I was crazy, until I explained.

As a tanker, you carry a lot of hose, I had 8 of them.
When you don’t use them, those hose are just a bother.
But when you do use the hose, you use them hard, and put them away wet and nasty.
Then you gotta go throw hot water and clean those nasty hose.
You again put them away, until you get paid to use them hard again.

Seriously man, you dont know the answer to this?
Supply / demand (ok and captive auduence). The way Walmart and big box stores are able to keep costs down is that they buy truck loads of a single item at one time to get a better price direct from the manufacturer. The truck stop will probably send some one to walmart to buy a case when they are low (or what ever distributor).

The demand for trucker type items is greater at a truckstop than it is at walmart. Since most truckers wont bother to leave the truckstop and drive to a Walmart to get the better price. The average trucker will be at the mercy or corporate greed of the truckstop. Tho that $20 DEF bottle at the truck stop also pays the wages of the mechanic that is socializing with the cute cashiers.

The remedy to all this is. Drivers for mega companies need to be taught, to save money as an owner operator it means work. Work doesnt stop at figuring the cost per mile. It may also mean that the driver doesnt waste their money at a truck stop. That when their done with their ten, they should go over to the local big box store and buy the products that the truck will need.

The readers of this thread know this. Alas mega carriers think their drivers are smaht enough to figure this out on their own.

No I didnt get to the tractor yesterday. If I remember all the things I need to get done. Maybe I can work on it today. Yet I have alot of other things that need attention in the garage.

The extended pause of Ram heaven has forced me to contemplate the future. I’ve been working on the anteater which has brought joy to my life. Interior guy came over with the seat material bringing excitement and longing for spring.

A sad day. Fry’s Electronics is no more. They have posted a statement on the web site about closing all stores. http://frys.com/

Virus killed them. I bought the last laptop I think they had about 6 months ago.

Place was like a Lowes of electronics, it was empty. I mean empty.

The American people have not been informed yet by their teevees and interwebs that if all your purchases are made online, one day there will be no more stores. The other day a family member in Dallas lamented the fact all the shopping centers around them are empty now, used to be full of stores. The next breath was telling me something about their Amazon prime account. These two items seemingly had no relationship in their mind.

That fact that JB (Bozos) owns the countries second most prominent propaganda outlet "The Washington Post" doesn't exactly give me the warm fuzzies either. But we are in a new era now and what used to be common sense now qualifies as absurdity and absurdity as the new lucidity. Case in point, anyone see that Elon Musk's 1.5 Billion dollar investment in Bitcoin yielded more profit in a few days than the entire Tesla car company? Financial chicanery is the new ticket to unimaginable wealth. Schleps like us who work for a living are apparently morons.

I have seen the enemy and he is us.
