News Flash; Natex Freight/CDL 1000 now offers new Owner Operators 80%, but now they charge you $ 225.00 PER WEEK!!! For Insurance? That's right the Ukraine owner of the company has become a GREEDY SOB. Insurance deduction is for Workmen's Comp, Bob tail coverage and now CARGO? There is usually a reason a Trucking company starts doing this. They have become a sinking Titanic ship and are grabbing every source of Revenue from their Owner Operators while they can. I am also looking to get out of Dodge! The revolving door of Drivers is increasing in speed. They can't keep their 10 company trucks filled as the drivers keep leaving due to Natex's Attitude and Bogus pay. STAY AWAY DRIVERS!!!

Although you're looking to get out of Dodge, I'm guessing this company is located in Chicago. Am I right?

That's actually not that bad of a price.

And the reason he probably does it is to get these professional drivers to pay attention, and not turn their cargo into garbage.

Yes, Natex Intermodal is located at 8020 47th St, Lyons, IL 60534. Lookup Alex Logistics. The same shysters operated that Trucking company. Unfortunately I discovered this after being there for a few months.
The Dispatchers are 25 to 35 yr old Dummies. They typically dispatch you and don't always send vital info needed to complete a pickup or delivery. I.E. Pu #, Delivery #, Appointment #, Confirmation # or PO #. You get to a Customer and now you look like the stupid one because you where not given all of the info needed to PU or Deliver the load. You then have to either text or try to get Dispatch on the phone and ask for the info the customer is needing. Typically they have to call someone as the info that you need is not on their computer screen! This wastes all kinds of your TIME and FUEL especially if it's cold outside and you have to Idle your truck to stay warm! This happens almost everyday! And they wonder why drivers are leaving? I have leased on with many companies in the past 20 yrs & NONE of them ever charged me CARGO Insurance as an Owner Operator. AGAIN TELL DRIVERS TO STAY AWAY FROM THEM!

How can they charge workman’s comp to owner operators?

Meh, the good news is you don’t have to pay. Just go somewhere else if you’re not happy with the arrangements.

    Lonesome Thanks this.

Agree with chitown! This Natex/CDL 1000 company DOES NOT PAY.! They were refusing to pay me for several months. I know other owner ops who haven't gotten paid yet. Dispatchers don't know what they are doing. They give you a fuel card that never has money in it, have you sitting at fuel island for an hour because they take their time loading $100-200.. have you sitting couple hours for next dispatch even though you tell them you are already getting unloaded. And did I forget to mention, THEY DONT PAY. also lonesome is affiliated with them, he always defends them.
