Don't feel bad. Two weeks ago I backed into a SEFL truck. Came in alley dock and my ICC bumper scraped his driver side front bumper, thus scrapping his truck number partially off. He didn't care cause I didn't dent it. Too my defense, he was parked straight but he was crooked enough to where his truck was inside my lane. (Like encroaching two feet into my lane).
I also got a speeding ticket for the first time in almost two decades two months ago in some rural town. Yeah I was in the wrong and yes they cited me. It is what it is. It sucks and occasionally you screw up. Keep your head up and just deal with the stupid crap as the miles and hours churn along.

What does the Safety guy's driving history matter? He isn't the one ripping doors off of trailers. If he tells you that you should have done a GOAL, he wouldn't be wrong and he didn't need to run 2MM miles to say that.Last edited: Mar 26, 2021
Jay5GS and Texas_hwy_287 Thank this. -
No. I was in the wrong. Took 2 points and paid $75 for the citation. Points should drop off after two years and I am betting the barn that my insurance agency doesn't run a check on my policy renewal cause this would be the first infraction in 17 years.Trucker61016, 13 Speed Road Ranger, McUzi and 1 other person Thank this.

I’d venture to bet that the person in question is cut from the same cloth as the horse’s patoot we have that dinged a driver for a preventable because a dock bumper fell off when he backed into it.Cardfan89, Texas_hwy_287, Jay5GS and 3 others Thank this.

Those clowns are a league of their own.
-
You guys have clowns? Hell, we have an entire circus!! Fully equipped with people that will juggle your DRs and then load you out based on how they catch your bills. We have a microwave that if you slam the door too hard, all the computers and lights in the building go out for 30 seconds. Two out of three urnials don't flush, and there is nothing in the building that isn't damaged or doesn't work. I get wreckered in so often that the guy that tows me is giving me a personal friend recommendation if I ever decide to apply with them.
You should spend a week at my terminal, it will have a very profound impact on your psyche.McUzi, Texas_hwy_287, Jay5GS and 2 others Thank this. -
I will never understand flooring companies. All that expensive, heavy stuff and they put it on a POS balsa wood skid.
A little under 3K worth of hardwood flooring. At the front of the trailer. And the skid collapsed. Tailgated one box at a time. Lucky the customer was cool about it..!MACK E-6, Trucker61016 and road_runner Thank this. -
I used to run into that all the time when I hauled flooring. To make matters worse, there was usually some kind of slick plastic between the pallet and the bottom layer of product. If the pallet wasn't wrapped super tight you could literally see it slide as you lifted it with a pallet jackGearjammin' Penguin, MACK E-6 and Trucker61016 Thank this.

Glossy boxes are good for that too.Cardfan89, Gearjammin' Penguin and truckguy391 Thank this.
