I am in the process putting things together to run under my own authority. I am a little confused about what eld device to use. Truckingoffice doesn’t look bad but keeptrucking seems to be the popular choice. Do these two track IFTA miles? Which of these two device or any other device would you recommend. One that is economical and still gets the work done, thank you.

Qualcomm is the Granddaddy. I wouldn't skimp on my elogs if it were me.
slow.rider, Roberts450 and papadelasi Thank this. -
Paying the inflated cost of a Qualcomm is like buying a Harley. There are much better bikes out there, but some people like to over pay for prestige.
Some for ELD, sure Qualcomm is the name megas use, but do you really need to pay extra for the ability to dispatch 1,000 trucks and keep everything integrated?
No, an ELD is something that can be bought for just what is wanted. No need to overspend and buy a Rolex when a Casio keeps just as well, and by some account even better.God prefers Diesels, bts1054, mwhjr1988 and 4 others Thank this. -
Point taken. Thanks

I'm very pleased with Big Road ELD. Can track your IFTA miles, you can locate your truck from office, you can send message to driver.

Ok thank you, I’ll look it up!

We use Keeptrucking and it’s great. App on the phone tracks logs, weigh station prepaid, send in paperwork, etc... it’s great!

TruckingOffice does track all your IFTA mileage and a ton of other things you need to run your trucking business. It is also simple and affordable and a good choice for independent owner operators and small fleets. Of course, like all other things - opinions do vary - but fortunately, they offer a free trial so you can check it out and then decide for yourself.

Another thing to consider, is, do you plan on doing cross border work?
