T/K gets serviced at 3000 hours and carrier at 1500 hr schedules.. We run Carrier butcant wait to get new T/K units makes for better night sleep. Also get asmuch insulation as u can. We usualy run produce but have just started geting in to frozen stuff more insulation the better for frozens.

I have 2 Wabash trailers with Carrier units.
-
Yep, fewer carrier dealers but as has been mentioned both will work on both units most of the time.slow.rider Thanks this.

Carrier units take less effort to get and keep products a certain. I routinely run loads at -20 and from experience the carrier units Ade the best choice on a utility brand trailer.
ShortBusKid Thanks this. -
You will probably find that has much more to do with trailer specs than the units themselves--also both carrier and TK make multiple units--some are stronger than others..so in reality...you can do anything with wither unti well---IF you spec both the right unit and the right trailer for your applicaionslow.rider, Balakov100, Cranky Yankee and 1 other person Thank this.

I totally agree, I am just going off of personal experience and that of the carrier dealer that showed me a thing or two when my unit froze up...slow.rider and ‘Olhand Thank this. -

I see this is an old post but was wondering if any of you guys had experience with TK SB-3 Whisper or the Carrier X 2500 Advance specifically?
The two trailers I have an opportunity to buy are both 2003 and both have about 10,000 on the units. Can you guys tell me which you think is a better unit and why?
Thanks -
Dont buy the whisper, its an old hunk of junk.As long as the carrier is working I would buy itslow.rider Thanks this.
