Hello all. I want to know is it possible to customize or personalize shall I say a company vehicle and is it a smart move lol. I’m going to be working for covenant soon and want to know is it smart to personalize my truck. Example, a tv cooking things refrigerator etc. Also if I should wait until I get on the road or do it before or when I have down time ? Thanks for any replies and help

you can "bring along" a few things. many times, you just cannot remodel the inside.

i'd wait until i got my own truck first.

then when you have time, stop at nearly any Walmart for your needs.

but be forward that many trucks already have a fridge

so you may wanna hold back.

also too remember, that during your tenure at any company, you very well WILL GET switched out to a different truck, for any number of reasons.

so, you wanna take like nearly an hour to move things out of one truck, and then into another...??

also, the truck you "move into", will most likely be a pig sty......wanna spend LOTS of time that you WILL NOT HAVE, cleaning, moving, setting up.>??

when you get your shipping bills, you are expected to MOVE NOW....down the road..

Yeah don't do anything to it that can't be undone quickly.

Honestly its not worth it for a company truck. They can and WILL swap you out at random. Be a real shame to spend a ton of time making it nice jist to get it taken away. You would be better served just having a single duffel bag, and a secondary luggage bag I.E a laptop case then trying to cart around tons of crap.

The only thing I’ve heard you can do to a Covenant truck without getting in trouble with management is paint the Sigil of Baphomet on the back wall of the sleeper.

    They seem ok with that.

Well, I have a laptop to watch shows, a toaster oven, a couple lunchbox ovens, a small grill and a coffee maker.
That is not customizing anything, it is just making sure I can cook what I want.
This truck has a fridge, otherwise I would also have a 12V cooler.

And it all depends on what your truck is equipped with in the first place. It may or may not have an inverter and fridge already installed, so check that before you start buying things.
Small inverters that plug in to the 12V socket are not powerful enough for things like the toaster oven or microwave.

And as for being bumped out of your truck at random, it seldom happens at my company.
Once you are in a truck you will probably be with it until it is retired, however long that may be.

And when I have to switch trucks I give myself plenty of time. Normally I won't accept a load for that day just so I can get everything situated and get used to the new truck.

Better wait. Pay attention to all your needs and "window shop" at the truck stop for what you may want. Take your time, don't waste hard earned money.

Whatever you put in your truck is also going to have to be taken out of your truck in the event of you getting assigned a new tractor leaving the company. Also if you break down and they give you a loaner you had to do without some stuff till you wheels are back up and running. You can make the truck feel like home but keep that in mind.

When I worked at covenant back in ‘Aught 12 , we had the same truck for the year I worked there.
Like others said wait a while before you do too much. We had one of those big Coleman electric coolers instead of a fridge. Easy to move in and out.
