Dang, I should've used church! In my eyes, there is a difference between being a hero and a good samaritan. I know an O/O wouldn't have done that, and he destroyed a truck that wasn't his, but he stopped a murderer from evading the police. In my experience, people who don't want to stop will not stop until they are stopped. Given the area they were in, a PIT was likely out of the question, roadblocks are illegal, spikes work (when they are hit), and calling off the chase wasn't an option due to the crime. Out of the thousands of outcomes that could've came from this situation, I'd say this was definitely the best one
Volvo stops police chase.

Back when I was 18 I ran a red light drunk and T boned a Cavalier with an F250. The guy was fine then acted like he couldn’t move. So I decided I could play that game too and flung myself out into the pavement lol. It was unnecessary as all he did when cops showed up was argue. That took the attention off of me. And the cop that showed up was my neighbors son in law. He recognized my address and only wrote me a ticket for running the red light. My dad would have killed me.
