We've been over this before. The reason this one seems "more surviveable" than prior ones is because this is the first time we've tested people who don't have symptoms. And the reason for that testing is because of the unusually long incubation time before symptoms start to appear. In reality, anything which becomes the #3 cause of death is in fact lethal by any definition.

It's not any sort of gene therapy. It cannot touch your genes.
