We carried a load from Detroit, MI to Joliet, IL. The broker, Quality Freight Logistics, Inc, said that the trailer had to be dropped for up to 72 hours. This was a Thursday, so the next best question was, "So I'll have the trailer back at the latest on Monday?" The broker replied "yes". I called on Monday to check and the broker THEN tells me, 'Oh they don't work on weekends".... When I challenged him on what he told me, the then LIED about it and said he absolutely DID tell me. Why would I want my trailer tied up for 3 days into the following week after I delivered on Friday??? I would have NEVER taken that load. So now they have my trailer, I can't work, and they could have it up to Wednesday, and LONGER!!! Detention is $25 per DAY!!!!! They have screwed me out of thousands of dollars. The broker manager said, well we paid you a lot of money to move this load... broken out over 5 days it's NOTHING!!!
These guys will lie to you just to get the load moved, then they let you deal with the consequences of getting your trailer and the impact of lost income. We will NEVER work with Quality Freight Logistics, Inc again and I suggest you don't either. Quality Freight Logistics, Inc screwed us good... lost thousands by not being able to work...
Quality Freight Logistics not an honest company at all!!!!

Thanks for having the guts to mention the broker on here!!!
BigBob410 and slim shady Thank this. -
I had a similar thing happened with them. Dropped a trailer in Flint for a pre load. Another carrier took my loaded trailer and took off. Had to chase them all the way to WI and never got reimbursed for that.
I had issues with dropping trailers before with different places, but that was my 3rd and last straw. I have not dropped a trailer in 3 years. No thank you -
I’ve only worked with one broker EVER that was a straight shooter. The rest weren’t worth spitting on.
YMMV -
Was that a blood broker, Frank?
Blood Broker on Steam (steampowered.com)TB John and Frank Speak Thank this. -
I don’t recall the name of his company, but his name was Larry and he was a one man show. As such, he didn’t have time for all the annoying b.s. that the bigger outfits pulled incessantly. He gave you the load info and that’s the last you heard from him unless you needed something. Absolutely fantastic to work with.
I don’t think I’d have drained the tomato soup out of him even if he were a Kentuckian. Well, that might be a stretch, but you know what I mean.Last edited: Aug 17, 2021

I'm new to this, I didn't know you guys leave your trailers, at the drop off site. Is this common? And is it considered in the fee?
