Says 3 injured in this video's description. Looks like the driver took a hard hit.

The buildings it landed on are a farmers market. And looking at google it looks like he cut thru a gas station at a weird angle to get where he was.

Bud A. and lovesthedrive Thank this.

I doubt he was on an approved route. I've been there many times and that right turn is tight even for a 53 footer.

According to another poster, in the other thread, who hauls blades and has hauled them on this route he was on the approved route.

Maybe the mods can merge the two threads?

I saw that after I posted this. I'm surprised that it's an approved route. It seems like that turn would be too tight even using all 4 lanes.

    Bud A. Thanks this.

Where is the other thread? I'd be interested to hear from a blade hauler. I have some thoughts about what might have gone wrong after seeing the pilot driver running back to his pickup and the blade hitting the warning signal. Did the jeep lock up? Did they approach the intersection the wrong way? It seems like they might have started across and then stopped for some amount of time when they realized they couldn't clear the signal pole.

You have to love the quick thinking on the part of the useless escort.

Stops. Blocks the truck. Gets out to panic. Driver is probably screaming for her to GTF out of the way.

    Two thumbs up.

Seems to be newer companies doing blades. I have used Pilot cars that did blades. They said it was a very Very stressful moves.
