What is to investigate? The driver ignored the warning and got hit. Stop wasting taxpayer money.

I just still cannot get over this! Why is it always, ‘train hits semi’, ‘train collides with car’, etc.,etc. Wake up people, for umptenth time, TRAINS HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY!! Dang how much simpler can it get?”
stevep1977, calnca, drvrtech77 and 5 others Thank this. -

Actually I was in hurricane Camille made a left turn crossed tracks cross bars failed to go down. It was ruled railroads fault.

I was shocked by that accident, and it seems weird that such troubles still happen on days when technology is at its peak. We have so many signals indicating the approach of an intersection train with a car road, so many digital signs that it seems impossible to me that an accident cannot be prevented. It is often the fault of drivers who ignore these signals. An optimal solution would be to indicate on the digital panels the minimum time a train is approaching, according to the dbauskunft.com timetable, so that drivers know for sure that they are in danger if they cross the railway.

Know exactly where this happened. At that intersection the train would've literally been directly in his passenger side mirror as he was making a right across the tracks.
Number5 Thanks this.
