I used to have a truck that wouldn't idle until 100F.

 

I fixed my idle on my 06 but I hear the newer trucks can't be defeated. I didn't abuse it like I should have but waking up on a 35 degree morning and not being able to idle the truck without sitting in the drivers seat to tap the brake every five minutes wasn't my idea of a good time. That's when I would idle, that and the hour or so I wanted to run my laptop and maybe the Fkin dome light for an hour before I went to bed, ensuring the POS would start in the morning.

 

Buy a couple chocks. Set the trailer brakes only. Chock the tractor (in front and back of a tire). Place a shoe or boot behind the accelorator. Place a water jug or other 'heavier' object on accelorator. Set desired RPM through preasure on accelorator. Trick the computer into thinking the truck is moving. Go to bed nice and warm or cool.

Great news !! Knight has offered to hire up to 200 former arrow drivers. Didn't even wait for the vaseline to dry !!!!!!!!

 

200 drivers and 5 will still be at Knight next month with 3 "seriously" considering other options. So a perfectly executed plan.

 

So what's up ? Anyone got any questions regarding working for Knight ? Well you have come to the right place to avoid a headache.

Lies, no miles, no hometime, POS trucks, days without bathing, days without work AND all this with a company that brazingly thinks they can deliver customers freight whenever they feel like it.

Don't give them 100%, for some odd reason they feel threatened by this, I dunno it made no sense to me either.

You know how when you go to a hip sports bar and you see that punk that just oozes with dou**bagness....guess what, HE'S YOUR DISPATCHER !

Knight employs Credit Analysts. This is a vo-tech graduate that uses basic risk assessment and ratio and trend analysis to determine if a customer is worthy of receiving their freight a week late on a damaged trailer but most importantly, do they have a habit of not paying their bills. What's a Credit Analyst make...50 grand a year or so ? All the while there are plenty of outside companies that would be more than willing to perform this service at a fraction of the cost. Then they wouldn't have to provide the lemming in a cubicle benefits and all that nonsense. Just one of the many toilets that Knight uses to flush their money down besides that they have thousands of drivers to stiff out of accessory pay that they have rightly earned.

One terminal manager is such an incompetent idiot he has no idea that operators of commercial vehicles must adhere to federally mandated hours of service rules. He likes his trucks to spread out the 190 miles they will run in a day over a 20 hour window. He's also a two faced lier and expects his DM's to follow a strict code of lies and deceit, well if those silly kids want to keep on keepin on with Knight Transportation. I, at one time, admired my DM for having so much love for his job. I thought that was a good thing that was helping me. No it just means he's a sick sadistic SOB that enjoys inflicting torture via lies that sound like a broken record.

Just stay away there's nothing to see there at Knight. After two days there you will only wish you could stand on their head as they drown in a gutter. Oh they'll still find drivers but not any that happen to stumble upon the Truckers Report while researching their next prospective employer. The rest will make it a week before saying to themselves "this place smells like death, oh that's me since I have to fuel at the terminals and I'd rather walk around a truckstop like a vagrant asking another driver for a shower credit before I set in foot in one of those curly pube infested San Quentin'ish cess pool's of a shower that hasn't been cleaned since it was built"

YAY Knight ! A shining example of one of the companies where a seasoned professional driver can actually go backwards in earning, self-respect, and over all appreciation for such a noble profession.

 

I've already seen some guys from Arrow get processed. Poor guys, but at least they'll get paid some money eh?

Knight drivers, just so you know, Colorado still hasn't forgiven you for killing the CDOT worker back in '06. They are pretty rough on Knight around here, driver was heading from Indiana to Pueblo, and told to drive straight thru, which by his log he was doing.

 

Yea I always got red-lighted in Colorado. That was never as much fun as calling Memphis after emptying out 5 minutes after my DM went home and listening to them get all flustered. They'd say "what do you think this is a trucking company !" Oh right right right I forgot for some odd reason I thought Knight existed to make money, crazy me. Of course it's Friday so you'll have to wait until your DM gets around to coming in on Monday morning so he can have you a load by Tuesday morning. Ha Ha FUQ Knight I'd slap ya but #### splatters !
