I was turning left from a single lane into a narrow two lane roadway. It was almost nonstop traffic. Finally there was a break long enough for me to proceed and start my turn. A car came up and was about to get into where my trailer needed to arch. I was using all the room I had, and needed to track where she was going. I held out my hand in a stop motion. She stopped just enough for me to go around her by a couple of feet. She yelled azzhole at me. I'm like what? So I yelled out the window to her, ##### #####. I should have just said nothing, but sometimes these people amaze me, how stupid and rude they can be.

Late 70's, my first operations job dispatching fuel transports. My guy calls from a corner in Bayonne, NJ where he can't get around [on the ONLY truck route] and he's worried that he will get in trouble as the police officer is directing him to drive around the corner despite the Caddilac in the way.

He did as told and dragged the trailer tandem over the hood of the caddy.

We never heard anything about it.

It just sucks. Lol. Ended up overweight and reloaded 9pm delivery so hopefully less traffic.

Use every inch you can spare and make those d-bags move. I love making cars move. I pull nose to nose with those idiots that pull up past the white line and when they start swearing I give the clutch a quick jolt in low gear. Once they see that whole tractor twist and rock an inch or 2 towards them they change their attitude. If they don't want to be courteous, make them be courteous.

If it makes you feel better I just made an escalde go into the ditch because he wanted to squeeze around me while I was making a turn. Despite the accident in front of us blocking one of the lanes.

    #### em they should have left earlier if they're in that big of a hurry.

Just do what you have to and don't trade paint with anything. Easy way to make a prick backup if they're trying to make you hit em, flashers on set brakes and throw some road flares REEEAAAL close to under their car.

Went around a corner where truck had to turn off the two lane highway. You had to turn into the other lane to keep from blocking the highway as all the cars that were behind you are now speeding towards the 'cars only' section.

Siting at the light, entire huge Oldsmobile with this corpulent guy chomping on his cigar, entirely ahead of the stop line so now I'm stuck in his lane and he violently throws the Olds into park and the end of his cigar glows.

So I set the brakes, pulled the stop cable, and leaned back lowering the brim of my cat hat for a nice nap...

Then he fires up the Olds and reves the 'delta 88' V8 and lays rubber backing up...

Wait for a break in oncoming traffic, all the way out to the left and use the whole road, keep a. Eye on what’s going on around you too incase you need to make it a 3 point turn.

It's the turn bro, there's nothing you can do about something like that. Swing wide, #### traffic they're just gonna have to wait, and if people need to back up then they need to back. Been in plenty of situations like this in downtown Pittsburgh, it's not fun but if that's the route to get to where your going, then take it nice and slow and be attentive, don't let traffic get you nervous.

Its people not you. That intersection is designed so that trucks can turn right. Swing your truck all the way out. Don't be shy about it.

Hopefully some idiot isn't pulled all the way up on the cross walk. If Mr Simpelton stops on the crosswalk, completely blocking you, then just wait. You might have an opportunity to turn on red. If no one in that area knows how to drive then you might have to push yourself out there.

I think I know where that is. Or a turn like it. There's room if everyone stops where they are supposed to.

It's very clear from the satellite view that the stop line for traffic in the left turning lane is recessed back from the crosswalk by at least 15'. The car in the pic is properly stopped before the line where it should be. That's the way that intersection is engineered so that trucks can turn without too much trouble. If these morons in 4 wheelers don't understand that, then they are breaking traffic laws and encroaching on the right-of-way for trucks. It's totally on them for not knowing how to approach and stop properly at that intersection...
