How do you guys stay awake?

    Proper diet and rest. Regular sleep schedule.

    Stay away from those stupid energy drinks and anything else that gives you a temporary rush followed by a crash. (not that kind of crash) They may work in a pinch but not a good idea on a regular basis.

    Water is my preferred drink.

    Learn the subtle signs that let you know you're getting tired, when you start drifitng you're already not alert enough to be safe. For me it's when I can't find a comfortable cab temperature.

    We sit way too much, try and get some type of regular exercise.

    When I start getting drowsy I chew gum. Wakes you up a lot more than you'd think. I don't turn the heat on, just keep the thermostat between cool and hot and let the 70 mph wind push air into the cab. Keeps it moderate. Roll the window down for a few mins, or just take a nap.

    It only takes a few verses before everyone screams at me to stop.
    I’m wide awake then.

    The Devils dandruff !
    Seriously my morning routine is Energy drink , light breakfast and my daily men's Vitamins . I have my downloaded podcast for the day and Im ready to go . Light eating and stopping and stretching through out he day is helpful as well , no heavy meals through out the day I save that for dinner . Good rest is key , get into a good sleep pattern , Melatonin and some sleep aid if I'm having trouble but I'm usually tired by days end .
