So what does an asset manager do? And true I just know with the little time I have drove I haven’t had any issues with manuals.

Mine, when we got along, would locate loads, then msg the planner requesting it to be assigned. Sometimes the planner goes around the asset manager and sends them directly to the driver. Your asset manager is also responsible for working with the planners to get you home. They are also responsible for vacation pay, which mine screwed up, then claimed I told him to pay me that way, until I pointed out the Peoplenet messages that were sent when we were setting dates. And I still never got an apology for his f-up. It was "I don't know what happened" from him.

As far as changing anything...just one, my Asset Manager.

And the 2 autos I have had, one worked o.k. until the up/downshift lever quit working, and the other had issues along with the up/downshift lever quit. Namely sticking in what ever gear it chose to use to pull out of a parking spot, it missed shifts on occasion towards the time I got out of it...and the worst part, it skipped too many gears under a load sometimes, but I think that was more to do with how the company had it programmed. The Mack I had at WyMoore wouldn't skip gears when loaded, only when empty. Not sure why they set these auto's to skip 2 or 3 gears when grossing 75-78,000

did you ever haul tanker with your Mack? That’s what the company I work for uses and the OTR guys say that when they are loaded and come to a stop and the load surges it makes the truck shift up and down

Started out as Moore Freight Service, which was bought by Daseke, then merged with E.W. Wylie's glass division.
