Stop having little dings and bumps every so often. once a 10 year western express driver told me he stopped having little accidents every couple weeks and started doing 1 major incident annually. Save up those #### ups and cash them out 1 time a year I mean smoke and fire multiple fatalities type scene. it looks better on your job application too rather than a bunch of backing accidents.

for 4 months, then the accidents come off. Progressive does 35 months before not counting them. So 2 of them come off and it goes down to 35k and the other two come out 6, and 7 months after his policy started which should bring it down to 15k. But for 4 months he’s paying monthly on 78k and another 2-3 months monthly on 35k and remaining monthly on 15k.

Yes that's exactly what they do. From what I've heard, most megas throw any preventable on your DAC report. If your company has a safety department, then they will most likely consider everything preventable. If you want to work for any other mega, they will require you to have at minimum 6 months safe driving, which means no incidents/accidents within that time span. This almost forces you to work for Western Express or Swift.
I wouldn't sweat it.
Every trucker has hit ####. And don't buy any BS about someone on this forum not hitting anything. These are the same unicorns that do a 30 minute full pre-trips everyday. Have you ever seen anyone at a truck stop do an airbrake test? Take it with a grain of salt.faux_maestro, Still undecided and Old - School Thank this. -

What this signals to a boss, or at least did in the past, with this many "incidents", a biggie is coming. They can make that assumption, just because of past drivers they had. My 1st boss told me one day, "on that last PM, we had to give your brakes a couple extra turns, you overdriving the rig?" Maybe I was, but the boss said, it's our experience, these things lead to a bigger crash. Today, it's probably entirely possible you may never even meet the boss, and service done somewhere where they couldn't care less, and companies simply have no choice but to "rate" the incidents, and set up a tolerable protocol to continue operating, in this case, pay the outlandish insurance premiums for a sub par driver, charge more for the trucking, and you wonder why everything is so expensive.

Yeah, I don't do business with DAC companies. Lol
Tell me your company sucks without telling me it sucks. LololSpeed_Drums Thanks this.
