No...I will just find a company that can keep a piece of equipment on the road. So far in the last couple months, I average about a 15% success rate making it from shipper to receiver without a problem, mostly trailer issues. Poly's equipment was more reliable than that, even with a shop manager that had 0 experience managing a class 8 truck shop, and half of the mechanics no hablo ingles. And I thought they had the worst equipment of any company I have worked for.mladen86, Speed_Drums and Bumper Thank this.

Can’t remember if I’ve asked in the past, have you ever looked in to CDT in lake city, nice equipment and run reefers as well.

Owned my own equipment for many years now just because I wanted to be in control of the maintenance. Then last year I decided I wanted full control of my own destiny and got my own authority, best decisions professionally I ever made. I work less and am home more, all the while making more money than I have ever made. I did it. Others have done it. YOU CAN DO IT!
Itsbrokeagain, mitrucker, Speed_Drums and 4 others Thank this. -

I think he owned a truck about 10 companies ago and leased to LS. That flamed out as well.

Can't afford that much of a pay cut. When I checked them before, they paid way below what many companies paid.

Aren’t you on a countdown to retirement anyway, surely you can at some point start counting down the months until you can give ‘em the ole Dolly Parton…Lonesome Thanks this.

Not ever planning on retiring...my family history shows that IF we make it to retirement age, it isn't long after full retirement we wake up dead. My dad and one other distant relative of my dad made it past 70(less than 6 months after full retirement, and burying his 2nd wife, he died out of the blue) the majority of the rest died in their 50's or early 60's.Last edited: Jan 5, 2022
