    What is the "plastic truck" crew? Serious question because I've seen the term "plastic truck" a lot lately.

    Don't think it would have made a difference, each of the trucks stopped had a trooper AND a DOT/FMCS vehicle at the stop. Speeding ticket may have been the least of the driver's worries.

    No one would suffer more from a crash than the Owner Op. His investment (truck/trailer) would be totaled, He’d have a pile of medical bills, legal liability from anyone harmed in an accident, plus rising insurance premiums - now without any way to pay for any of it all.

    He has what is called Skin In The Game. No one loses more from his actions than him.

    I don’t support dangerous driving but we only have your assertion of what the facts are. You’re asking us to believe that someone with everything to lose was being totally reckless. I think what is more likely is that someone who has most everything done for them and is used to being told what to do (as a company driver) doesn’t like the sight of someone with freedom and agency.

    It’s like someone who plays with pretend, make believe money at a poker learning site criticizing the play of a professional poker player playing $10,000 a hand.

    Saying you and an owner op are both truck drivers is like saying a chihuahua and a Great Dane are both dogs - technically true, but very, very different dogs.

    For the record, I’m a company driver.

    I used to travel that hill several times a week.

    That 20 mph speed limit is ridiculous, especially if you're empty or loaded light. Perhaps something like 45mph for empty trucks and up to 50k gross. Then 20 for the rest.

    I watched a guy blow the stop sign one day, go flying down the hill, he gets around the first bend and there was a cop. When I made it to the bottom where the runaway ramp is, the cop had the guy stopped. He was opening the driver's door and removing the keys as I drove by. I'm betting that driver got a talking to.

    It's really not that bad of a hill, I can show you much worse that isn't posted with reduced speed limits. But they don't get nearly the traffic either.

    That used to be a nice relaxing ride (almost boring) from Harrisburg to I-80. Not so much now that the bigger carriers with their 65mph governed junk seem to be using it more.

    A 20 mph speed limit ANYWHERE is ridiculous. I'm annoyed with speeders and stop sign runners just like everyone else, but give me a F'n break here. The speed limit on Vermont 125 is higher than that, and it's a 12% grade with the last half mile at 15%. The curves are so sharp along with the guard rail that it forces you into the other lane almost every curve.

    I don't think I've been on 322, but what in the world is so dangerous about it that it needs to be 20 mph?
