Is the free version of TruckerPath good for just parking or do you pay?

Make a law ....yeah thats just what this industry doesn't need..
Cause what ever congressman/ woman thinks that up will be owning them.. Basically goverment run & or owned... yeah thats a great idea !jsnell, Siinman and Big Road Skateboard Thank this. -
I have had the $1.99 per month silver plan forever. I think that includes the parking prediction feature. Honestly I don't remember the free version. However, I would not pay for the gold truck navigation feature. I just put $50.00 per year in my Google Play account, (not to be confused with Google PAY!). They deduct $1.99 + tax per month. I could not live without it. It is by far one of the most important tool in the box for me. I occasionally use Google play to buy an ebook as well. I set up the Google play account when that was an option to pay for the app. It is the only app I have ever paid for in my life. I suppose it is an option for all apps in the play storeSpeed_Drums, dwells40 and silverspur Thank this.

The regulation and requirement you are looking for should be part of the community development and building codes. Enforced by the planing/building departments.
"Thank you for your interest in our community. At this time our community does not have sufficient truck parking for the existing large commercial buildings. We can't allow you to build a warehouse here unless you have adequate truck parking and maintained restrooms for the drivers on site. Alternately you can get somebody to build enough truck parking up the road. The off site parking is problematic because the surrounding counties have ordinances prohibiting truck stops." Should be a common reason to deny build permits.
I just don't know of any politician that would be able to get that through. The laugh would be trying to get provisions for something like that into the international building codes.dwells40 and Jenkins2020 Thank this. -
You can't require private industry to build something wherever you want it.
But there should be a law that requires local government to ALLOW them to build, regardless of how much the local residents whine at their town hall meetings.
In a lot of cases they would build a new Loves or something but the local whiners complain at their town hall meetings and get the local government to deny the permits or zoning.
They've been a real pain in the ### in Elwood, IL.
F### the local whiners. If they want the jobs & tax revenue from warehouses and other industry, they can accommodate the trucks.4mer trucker and dwells40 Thank this. -
The free version shows you the last 3 parking reports. It also shows you the trend or the hourly reports for the last several days. You can look at that history to guess when it typicall fills up. If you pay for Trucker Path it will also give you a prediction of parking at whatever time you pick.silverspur Thanks this.

Ever hear of the term "zoning commission"? Every city, town, county, etc. has a group who's sole job is exactly this.bzinger Thanks this.
-
They can't go up to the CEO of Loves and ORDER THEM to build a truck stop. That would be called "fascism".
Zoning commissions simply decide whether to approve it or not, after the truck stop chain decides they want to build somewhere.4mer trucker, tscottme and bzinger Thank this.
