Im down, COVID

That's what concerns me. Those coming to work with it and not saying anything. I've rode with two drivers in two weeks and others hop in and out of my truck, including mechanics. Just found out a few of them have "colds"

 

Can't say I blame them, I'm gonna be out around $6800 in lost wages between the two of us assuming we can get back to it next week. I can swing that but a lot of people are stretched out living paycheck to paycheck.

I didn't want to be responsible for killing anyone so we reported it and tried to do the right thing. I think once folks wrap their heads around omicron we are probably going to start treating this like regular colds. I usually work sick, although I've only been sick once since I started trucking 8 years ago. I'm just not around people very much anymore.

 

I wish you well, and I hope you recover quickly and smoothly! I had it over Thanksgiving, got out of quarantine and thought I was good to go. Wrong. I’m one of the lucky ones to get Long Covid. My blood pressure and pulse have been off the charts, and I won’t be returning to work for a while, I’m so happy that my wife and I are very frugal. I see the cardiologist on Monday to see what is going on. My primary thinks it’s A-fib, but we shall see. I too, am vaccinated.

I'd take medical advice from Mike the "pillow guy" before I listened to a politician. Now, this came across the Google News feed, and I don't endorse or have an opinion either way, just one for the "what if" file. Very early on in this, I read a study claiming pot smokers could be immune to covid, because a chemical coats the lungs preventing the virus to form. Well, that was squelched pretty fast, and never heard anything again,,until now. Some "OSU" study seems to think so. There's a bunch of videos, sounded like media BS to me, but wouldn't THAT be something?

 

Probably why 4 of us in the office are so far the only ones to not have gotten it.

Thanks you @Ridgeline. I am glad you pushed forward and fought to get the “right” doctor to treat your daughter instead of taking the word of the hospital that would let her die. More people need to fight this like it’s a matter of life and death…….cause it is.

After I make my delivery today I’m going to see my old friend in the hospital and see what has been done. Then help him get transferred to Pittsburgh where the proper measures will be taken. I don’t think he is well enough to do it at home yet. I won’t sit back and let the hospital kill him.
