Ordered a full set of trailer tires and a pair of steer in January. Firestones. %20 price increase on February first. After 3 increases last year. They could only put together 3 of the trailer tires and 1 steer tire so far.

The problem with “might die somewhere else” is he didn’t die. Now all it takes is a slick lawyer convincing a jury full of geriatric ex flower children Bleeders that the home owner gut shooting him was extremely cruel when compared to death, and they will award ol gutrot for his pain and suffering.
Never mind the threatening messages and phone calls. Never mind the door getting kicked in and the castle breached. Never mind ol gut rot pointing his own weapon at a home owner on his own turf. “Gut shooting with birdshot is extremely cruel and unusual and the guy that did this to him, who he only wanted to have a peaceful conversation with, wanted my client to suffer in agony!”
And ol gut rot will awarded the house, and everything else the homeowner possibly owned. And the homeowner will will look at him and realize his mistake. “I shudda put em down.”Gatordude, Crusader66, cke and 12 others Thank this. -

I checked this out with my daughter the attorney. She does a lot of criminal law and she's pretty sharp. (Okay, maybe I'm a little prejudiced
) She looked up some case law and what she found doesn't support your scenario.
Theoretically a homeowner can be sued but the plaintiff's chance of recovery is very slim. She found a few instances where the homeowner was sued in civil court for medical damages and their insurance company settled out of court but the awards were always minimal and required the plaintiff to not pursue the matter any farther.
She said that the biggest problem the plaintiff would have would be finding a lawyer to even take the case. Unless there was an offer already on the table for an out of court settlement a reputable attorney wouldn't take it on contingency. A shyster might but they're usually well known to the judges and wind up getting their hat handed to them. The typical crook-become-plaintiff usually can't afford to pay his lawyer by the hour so that pretty much scotches his lawsuit
Caveat...I don't know much about the law but with three lawyers in the family, one of whom is probably going to be a Superior Court Judge by this time next year, I hear a lot. The stories that go around the dinner table...without names being mentioned of course...are better than any TV show I've ever seen.
The free legal advice ain't bad either. -
Dang, you all must live in the east. Here we are going to shoot him with a correct weapon and then feed him to the hogs. No lawyers need to become involved in any of this except for reading the will.
