No. Per the Commercial Driver's License Reciprocity with Canada agreement,"... a Canadian driver holding a commercial driver's license issued under the Canadian National Safety Code will be prohibited from obtaining any driver's license from a State or other licensing jurisdiction of the United States."
Another Canadian driver and joyjohntj Thank this. -
So citizens other than Mexico and Canadians can get the CDL from US. But Canadian and Mexican even with green card need to take knowledge test and drive test to get US CDL?
Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
How did you get a green card. I am trying to find out as a Canadian how to get a work visa or permanent residence visa to move and drive in the USA. I found a article in Forbes that mentions the USA honours Canada and Mexico AZ/Class 1 and no need to retestAnother Canadian driver Thanks this.

I believe you can in some states like Florida. Go to a transport centre close to you and find out. The above article basically says that while you have a Canadian CDL (AZ) you don’t need an American license and can operate while driving in the US as a Canadian. But now with your green card your status has changed so might have to get it converted according to state laws.Another Canadian driver Thanks this.

You have a green card issued by the U.S. ? If you do, and are now a U.S. resident living in Tx., yes you can get a Tx. CDL because you are a Tx. resident.
