Please go ahead and update. The cure for the shortest- Tollways\avoid should be in the next version update. This is one we want to give some heavy test time to.
Thanks,
Mark

If you are on a Mac w\o a DOS shell, let me know so I can get you the update. You will need a SD\USB adapter if your computer does not have an SD Slot and a 2gb SD Card.

Just picked up my unit, and noticed Rand dropped the price again to $399. Oh well.
Searching is definitely very user friendly and fast. I like this unit a lot.
However as I guessed, it failed in my home city of Winnipeg, Mb.
I'm willing to guess that since the Mcphillips underpass of the CP main line (#30 on the map, 3.90m) is not programmed in, probably none of the low clearance areas are. Winnipeg has a lot of truck routes that have less than 4.15m clearance(13'6"). Any red octagon is less than 4.15m on a truck route, and as you can see there are a few. Also the main street underpass of the CP mainline is 3.7m. Other low clearance areas are #32, #28, #17, #31, #2, and #41. These are also all on truck routes.
Some bridges are also weight restricted, but Americans generally need not worry because these are restricted for above American maximum gross weight.
There has been a number of bridge strikes in recent years around Winnipeg. -
Here is the map:

A few other things that could use tweaking includes better resolution with metric measurements, the "my truck" setting goes up in 3 cm increments, obviously inches just converted to metric. Another issue seems to be the lack of resolution when zoomed out, but many have already pointed it out.
Overall pretty happy with the unit, even though it hasn't been road tested. It works very well, the screen is easy to use and see. The "back" button could use a little tweaking. Searching beats my Garmin unit all to hell, and I love the truck stop amenities search feature, although it does seem like some information is incorrect.
I'll be beating this thing to hell and back trying to find things wrong with it, don't worry! -
Speaking of zooming out, now that they've added the auto zoom in feature for turns, they've also made it so it zooms out whether you want it to or not. It will zoom out to about 26 miles and stay there. If you zoom back in, it just zooms back out. Not helpful.

The TND has been on sale since the end of December 2009.
Your bridge post was forwarded to RM.

I bought it using "OOIDA" as the code. I'm not really all that upset about it, it just always seems my timing is off with these types of things

Seems all the T/S have them at 399 now.
