Get some good aluminum plate and plate the cracked section. Fasten with 1/4" aluminum rivets. That insulation burns good

I'm sure... Always had an interest in welding... Never done it.

And it's not even my trailer... Maybe I'll stock up on some jb weld and just putty the holes shut...

That sounds like a fairly easy and cheap option... I'll have to find some YouTube videos for instructions.

On second thought I would do what the other guy said. Use some fastener screws and screw down some 1/8 inch thick steel

    TCF Thanks this.

I'm going to look into that direction. Seems the cheapest and easiest way? Maybe throw some caulk on the cracks and such before doing it?

It cracks because the stringers are bad. Could have wood or plastic stringers. You can screw the floor down tight to cure it for a short time if the stringers are plastic. If they're wood it won't last as long.

Doesn't matter if the tandems are slid back or not.

When I was researching I had seen a bunch of people say it was tandems being forward during heavy loading so I assumed.

The damage has been about the same for the last year and doesn't seem to be spreading but since I have customers starting to mention it I figured I'd try and do even a hack repair so I don't risk getting rejected somewhere.

You can replace the stringers without cutting the slider rails loose. PITA but if it's just the first 4-5 feet just replace the center section, that's where the forklift hits hard going in.

You can't rivet a plate on, it'll just break loose. Couple thousand to weld/plate 4-5' the right way that will last years.

First option sounds out of my current skill set and second sounds out of my price range....

That is the deal though. You have to consider the severity of the crack as well. Heavy loads can completely open up the floor. You really have to fix them good.
