if anyone netted over 100k, venmo me 2.5k to prove you made profit. I promise to send the 2.5k back
Siinman, D.Tibbitt and blairandgretchen Thank this. -
These are scattered facts/numbers/explanations.
Is he leasing a truck and LEASED ON to a company?
Get him to show you an actual breakdown and post it - with a few more details, like miles (all miles) , freight, days worked, etc . . .
and then I could at least form an opinion that is worth 3 cents.Oxbow, Siinman, D.Tibbitt and 1 other person Thank this. -
What does your gut tell you?blairandgretchen Thanks this.

Just imagine.
What could you do, with your imagination?!
The better question is, what could you do running the miles as you are now - but having the expenses of owning/leasing the truck.
You need to measure those expenses in the only practical way possible - while you are a company driver.
Track every expense and income and tax in a spreadsheet, just as you would have to once you go indy.
Do that for two years as a company driver and see if you would come out better or worse.

Troll, antagonist, I don’t know.
I’m too honest to try and separate wheat from chaff online.
I’ve yet to hear a successful story from a 35 year old driver that involves the words “Leased truck , Lease Purchase”.
Each to their own.pumpkinishere, 88 Alpha, Oxbow and 3 others Thank this. -
Here - get with your buddy and get this information.
Here’s a 1099 for a guy that OWNS his equipment, but LEASES ON, to a company.
Here’s this guys revenue/miles/profit.
Here’s this guys revenue/expense profit/loss.
Now - if you can’t or he won’t - then quit wasting time with silly vague posts asking questions about what some random guy told you about his business.
There’s 100 questions about the numbers posted above to be asked, but it forms 90% of an answer.
Your question posted is about 10% of what is needed to form an opinion.
You now owe me 6 cents.
Good day sir.pumpkinishere, 88 Alpha, Oxbow and 4 others Thank this. -
I like how you wrote an essay and included pictures just to complain about the time you wasted writing the essay and including the pictures. It was very educational. I learned a lot, most important of which is that wasted time can be very educational, and that I should continue this wasteful strategy.Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.

The man is full of great information. Take what he has said with a grain of salt or learn a little bit about how the business works. He wasted a lot of time helping people out so you are not special.88 Alpha, Oxbow and blairandgretchen Thank this.
